Resumo/Abstract: I consider a dynamical adjustment mechanism able to screen any value of the cosmological constant. I will present the Horndeski models able to carry out that adjustment mechanism under the assumption that the gravity’s vacuum is described by a de Sitter geometry. Those models have a de Sitter critical point for any type of material content and are, therefore, of phenomenological inter-est. The cosmological consequences of the resulting models will be summarized, emphasizing the case with symmetry under shift redenitions of the eld.
