Quaternionic Quantum Mechanics: Foundations and the Relativistic Case

Resumo: Quaternions are non-commutative complex numbers that have been applied to generalize quantum theories. In this talk we introduce quaternions and the attempt to rewrite quantum mechanics using them. By way of example, we present the solution of the quaternionic Dirac equation for a step potential.
